Team management in extraordinary situations related with foreigners
From 20 to 23 October 2015 18 people participated in workshop on ‘Team management in extraordinary situations related with foreigners’ conducted by external organisation Mediatorzy.pl in the Border Guard Centre for Specialised Training in Luban. The participants were border guards serving inside Secure Facilities for Foreigners, one representative of BG CST and four employees from the Office for Foreigners and Regional Government Offices. For four days they took part in exercises, discussions and problem solving tasks related to team management in difficult situations.
The participants discussed about the process of team-building and its separate stages, analysed team leadership styles and ways how crisis situations may influence teamwork. Furthermore, during the workshop, the participants trained how to conduct efficient communication in crisis situations, analysed various extraordinary situations that can occur during work with foreigners and worked out the best ways of finding solutions to these problems.
