From 20 to 24 June, 2016 the first edition of a specialised training course “Rules on foreigners’ identification” has been carried out inside the Border Guard Centre for Specialised Training in Luban.

The training was directed at people from Foreigners’ Departments of the Border Guard that conduct the duties related to identification and readmission of foreigners, as well as at those officers directly involved in the procedures of return operations.

During the event the participants familiarised with methods of identifying foreigners and obtained knowledge about specifying the foreigner’s country of origin, methods and techniques of conducting interviews with foreigners and gathering evidence for the purposes of identification procedures. The participants of the course were the officers from various Border Guard Regional Units, the representatives of the Office for Foreigners and Regional Government Offices.

The training was co-financed in the frames of Norway Grants project No. 26/ NMF PL 15/14.
