From 22 to 25 March the lecturers of Foreigners’ Affairs Department of the Border Guard Centre for Specialised Training in Luban carried out an advanced course ‘Role of public bodies in the process of granting the international protection’. The training was focused on border guards serving inside Foreigners’ Affairs sections that take part in the process of granting foreigners the international protection in the territory of Poland. During the training the participants discussed international regulations related to international protection and the procedure of accepting the application for granting such protection. They honed their knowledge about creating documentation on the subject, indicating further actions, including the situations requiring detention and placing foreigners in secure facilities. Furthermore the lecturers presented the rules on dealing with people requiring special attention in the process of granting the refugee status and regulations concerning readmission and accepting people in Poland in the frames of Dublin mechanisms.
The participants of the training were the border guards from various Border Guard Regional Units.
