In days between 27 & 30 – th of May 2015, at the Border Guard Training Center for Specialised Trainings was conducted course for border guards who take the service activities to the third country nationals and also to officials from Office for Foreigners.
In days between 27 & 30 – th of May 2015, at the Border Guard Training Center for Specialised Trainings was conducted course for border guards who take the service activities to the third country nationals and also to officials from Office for Foreigners.
The course was dedicated for issues of granting protection for the third country nationals before expulsion by BG authorities.
So the specific topics mentioned during the event, were:
1.Legal basis for granting protection for the humanitarian reason and for tolerated stay, established in the Act on Aliens 2013.
2.Rights and freedoms included In the European Convention of Human Rights and Fundamental freedoms (Rome Convention 1950 with additional protocols).
3.Understanding of the rights and freedoms in view of European Court for Human Rights judgments.
4.Administrative procedure of granting protection by BG authorities.
The scope of the course included theoretical and practical classes. For four days participants took part in exercises, discussions and problem solving tasks related to topic of the course.
The course was conducted by lecturers from the BG Training Center and Phd Paweł Dąbrowski from Council for Refugees. The participants taking part in the course were from Śląsko – Małopolski, Nadbużański, Nadodrzański, Nadwiślańskiego i Warmińsko – Mazurski BG Divisions and Office for Foreigners.
